On the morning of September 19, 2019, An Giang University, a member university of VNU-HCM, welcomed and worked with the delegation of IGlobal University (the United States) led by Dr. David Young Whan Sohn – the Founder, Rector and CEO of the University.
Welcoming the delegation were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang – the Rector of AGU; Dr. Nguyen Huu Tri - Head of the Department of Foreign Relations; and representatives of departments, Faculty of Economics - Business Administration and Faculty of Information Technology.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. David Young Whan Sohn thanked the solemn welcome of AGU’s leaders for their delegation. Dr. David Young Whan Sohn introduced some brief information of IGlobal University's history of establishment and development. With the goal of training aiming to provide students with learning opportunities under the motto of "innovation, creativity and efficiency", he proposed plans for collaborative exchanges between the two universities in the near future.
On behalf of the leaders of AGU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang expressed his pleasure to welcome IGlobal University delegation. The Rector gave an overview of the university's strengths in undergraduate and postgraduate training activities, scientific research, technology transfer and international cooperation. The Rector hoped that the two universities would continue to focus on discussing cooperative training in Business Administration, Information Technology and some other graduate programs.
The two universities also discussed how to effectively implement cooperative programs such as Cooperating in training undergraduate and postgraduate programmes; Organizing seminars and workshops; Exchange programs for lecturers and students; Support policies and scholarships for learners; Employment opportunities after graduation; and so forth.
